POINT OF SALE
DESIGNING FOR BRAND ENGAGEMENT
I bring extensive experience designing retail displays and point-of-sale (POS) materials that strengthen brand presence and drive purchasing decisions at the shelf. My work includes the development of retail graphics, in-store signage systems, and promotional print materials that integrate seamlessly into the retail environment while maintaining rigorous brand consistency.
I have developed event logos and cohesive visual systems for brand activations and consumer promotions, including work with Anheuser-Busch and additional national clients. From initial concept development through production-ready file preparation, I understand the full technical and logistical pipeline of retail display design — ensuring every piece is not only visually compelling but operationally sound within real-world retail environments.
FEATURED PROJECT
STANLEY STEEMER RETAIL CONCEPT
Engaged by a regional creative agency, I was brought in to develop an innovative in-store retail solution for Stanley Steemer, a brand traditionally associated with in-home services, as they explored opportunities to expand their product presence directly onto retail shelves.
I developed two distinct product concepts: a handheld pretreated sponge system with replaceable, disposable sponge heads, and a retail-packaged latex glove solution in which each glove featured a palm-embedded sponge pre-loaded with stain-removing solution. The gloves were designed to invert on removal, keeping the soiled sponge contained for hygienic disposal.
Both concepts were presented with brand-compliant packaging designs and visualized within realistic retail display environments, demonstrating shelf viability and consumer appeal. Both concepts were patented.
PRODUCTION OVERVIEW
Product Concepts
The concept phase opened with a structured competitive audit, examining existing market offerings across competitor SKUs, shelf positioning, and brand equity to surface opportunities for meaningful differentiation. These findings directly shaped the strategic and aesthetic direction of each Stanley Steemer concept.
Concepts progressed through a defined development pipeline, from hand-sketched ideation to detailed 3D modeling, providing the client with tangible, review-ready representations of each proposed solution. Comprehensive product specifications were prepared and submitted for patent protection, establishing intellectual property documentation early in the process.
Graphic Design
Packaging and product surface design were executed in full alignment with Stanley Steemer's brand standards, applying the established color palette, core brand marks, and defining taglines across all retail-facing surfaces. The goal was clear: introduce a first-of-its-kind product to the shelf while ensuring instant brand recognition for existing customers. Every graphic element was deliberately considered, reviewed against brand guidelines, and refined before final submission for client approval.
