COMMUNICATIONS

DRIVING ENGAGING INTERNAL NARRATIVES AND CORPORATE TRAINING INITIATIVES AT MASTERCARD INTERNATIONAL

Paired up with the internal communications team at Mastercard International to craft compelling messaging to inform, entertain, and educate the global workforce. With an established and vibrant culture in place and the analytics to tell us more about them, we tailored messaging in engaging execution styles to reach our audience effectively. While most projects were focused on this global audience, others were produced in support of the Mastercard annual Board of Directors meetings, catering to a C-suite audience. Throughout these endeavors, we explore various approaches and styles while maintaining a firm adherence to the brand standard and tone to achieve our communication objectives. Additionally, some of our projects extend into corporate training, where our primary goal is to educate employees and new hires on team structures, workflows, new initiatives, and company updates.

FEATURED PROJECT

BIZOPS TRAINING SERIES ("MASTERCOLD")

Working directly with Mastercard's Business Operations (BizOps) team, I developed a multi-episode animated training series designed to onboard new employees, update existing team members, and communicate BizOps initiatives to a broader internal audience.

The series was built around a custom-developed team mascot, a penguin navigating the fictional world of "Mastercold", that served as the anchor character throughout all episodes. This animated brand framework allowed complex operational content to be transformed into accessible, engaging storytelling that resonated across experience levels and global markets.

The completed series totaled over 20 minutes of episodic video content, covering a comprehensive range of BizOps topics, initiatives, and team-specific challenges — delivered as a timed, phased content release strategy.

Presentation slide with the title 'BizOps New Hire Training' and a bullet point list that includes topics such as 'What is BizOps?', 'Intro to BizOps 101', 'BizOps Sandbox', and 'BizOps Phishing Orientation'. The background shows a person in a striped shirt working on a laptop, with string lights and a window in the setting.

In the background, there's a display with an infographic about principles and habits for creating value, growing together, and moving fast, with illustrations of people in a collaborative environment.
