EXPERIENCE DESIGN
BRINGING IDEAS AND CONCEPTS TO LIFE
The most powerful experiences are designed, not assembled. Mapping a customer or participant journey before a single asset is produced is one of the most valuable investments a brand or event team can make.
I am regularly engaged to help transform complex experience concepts into clear, visually compelling representations that communicate the full arc of an experience to stakeholders. These illustrated journey maps and experiential overviews serve a dual purpose: they are sales tools that secure stakeholder and executive buy-in, and production guides that align creative delivery teams with the original vision.
This approach is particularly effective for live event design, product experience communication, user journey mapping, and process workflow visualization, in any scenario where the gap between concept and execution carries meaningful risk.
FEATURED PROJECT
EFFY JEWELRY INCENTIVE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE (VIA MARITZ TRAVEL)
Working with Maritz Travel, I developed a comprehensive series of illustrated experience overviews for an exclusive incentive travel program designed for Effy Jewelry's top-performing retail partners and affiliates.
The project required close collaboration with subject matter experts to define the experience arc, research featured destinations and activities, and develop illustrated visuals that conveyed the emotional journey from arrival through departure. The resulting series of drawings captured the full scope of the program, the environments, the curated experiences, and the emotional resonance that distinguishes a truly exceptional incentive reward.
The illustrated assets gave Effy's stakeholders a vivid, cohesive preview of what Maritz was proposing, elevating the proposal beyond photography and written descriptions to deliver a genuinely differentiated pitch that helped secure the business.
Production Overview
Live Events
I crafted comprehensive corporate event flows, meticulously depicting the entire journey from registration to the event's grand finale. These illustrative designs encompassed a wide range of elements, including event scenery and staging, floor plans, dimensional environmental signage, and various other details.
Experience/Product Design
Through compelling illustrations, I show real-world interactions between users and physical and digital products to life, effectively highlighting their features and showcasing the benefits for customers and clients. These visual representations were instrumental in demonstrating the product development cycle, illustrating the different implementation stages, and elucidating how return on investment (ROI) is achieved.
Journey Mapping
Journey mapping allows stakeholders to live and experience from start to finish. With this exercise, it is possible to fully grasp the impact that an experience will have at each phase of the experience.
